The proof: Ancestors.
If one goes back a bit over history, say, about 650 years or so, everyone now had thousands and thousands of ancestors then. (You have 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great grandparents, 16 great great grandparents, and so on. Trace it back to 1349 AD and there are a hell of a lot.)
At this time, the Black Plague was ravaging europe. You also have a few hundred thousand, possibly more, ancestors living at this time.
If one of these ancestors had died before reaching sexual maturity, say by Plague, or by anything else, (And the child mortality rate at that time was HUGE.) you wouldn't exist.
The chance of a single ancestor not dying while growing up is one in several billion.
Every single one of these thousands and thousands of ancestors managed to survive and breed. Not a single one died too young to do so. If one did, you wouldn't exist.
Everyone is incredibly lucky to be alive. If you weren't extremely lucky, you wouldn't exist at all.
The Plague was just what I used to explain my point.

BUt seriously. You have too much time on your hands.

JooJooFlop wrote this stupid crap:
Eh, I don't consider myself lucky for that. After all, if I didn't exist it's not like I would care or anything.
You don't feel lucky for having a chance with higher odds than winning the first division of the lottery crop up for you? Ungrateful.
i know i wouldnt
You see, my dad was on a company meeting in So. Illinois. He was staying at a motel with a bar/restaurant. My mom was working there. They met there. The rest, as they say, is history.
As Waisz and Cadga pointed out, that is not including circumstances, making everyone EVEN luckier to be alive.
Feel good, dunnit?
