EVEN WITH MY NooB STATUS, I SHALL UN-HIJACK THIS THREAD!

Ok, I've seen LoTR twice, and both times I haven't been able to figure out how Gandalf gets his staff back! He was rescued by a large eagle, from the top of a HUGE tower. If he had his staff with him while in the tower, he would've been able to escape...so he didn't have it with him on the tower. And, after the eagle rescued him, I doubt that he'd have tried to get BACK into the mountain to get his staff, which the white wizard would have probably destoyed by then...
*whew* That took too long to type, but it'll be worth it if someone were to answer this (not so) serious question.
