While this is the most prominent example I can think of many other times that I have been called Az by people I know.
Has anyone else ever had this happen in any way?
Hell, I sometimes call myself Laz instead of Kaley O_o

People call me Maradon sometimes. Not many though, since western PA is a cultural black hole
Hell, I'd call you Maradon. I laugh when I say Maradon, and I'm not sure why.

That page freaks me out every time!
Oz and I are the same anyhow.

Frank & Ozius
Though I'm never tempted to call any of them by their names.
Everyone else calls me Jeremy or Asshead, given their view of my personality.

They call me Tal online too, even if they know my first name. One of my friends always calls me Tales.

Nobody calls me Kegwen, though I would most likely respond to Keg or Kegwen...
I also respond to Andrew and Andre.
I wonder if he'd call me Brian or Mightion in person. I'd probably end up calling him Deth, by accident at least.
I've already told him he isn't allowed to come up here to meet me unless he brings Lyinar with him.
That brings up another point; Illanae, when I call you this weekend for EQ, do I tell ya I'm Mightion, or Brian from Buffalo?
No matter the character name I pick, no matter the roleplay format, I always end up being Kel... Calla became Kealla (On it's way back to kel), Elaine became Klaine (also on its way back to kel)... after 3 years, I gave up and just started using my real name for the SCA. I think it comes from having a nigh-unique real name...
Its also the name of my staff, which as a 'warrior' i view as an extention of myself.
Ok ill shut up now incase im scaring someone.
No one offline knows Gydyon, and few people online knows Jay.

Either! If I have a brain fart about Brian, I am sure if you said you were Mightion I would remember. And if you asked for Nae, I would probably answer, "YEAH!" hehe
INT calls me Hun. Or FWBBOMD. Or chicky. Or any one of many names we use in role playing games. I answer to them all.
But I don't have any RL friends who call me by an online name.
<sniff!>
She just came one night, ate mah Von Munster Burger, and left me forever!
