Ok checked out my pet buffs. Augment Death Works. And my heal works (but not when they are in combat. This is normal.)
Guess they didn't like people making Manaless killing machines and getting a free ride. They want us to work for our experience. Earn it. Sounds fine to me. I have more fun with a challenge than I do just refreshing Mez every few minutes.

does explain how I got owned at 5th level by a scaled wolf in Field of Bone back when I started playing EQ on my own account back when Kunark came out. That's always been one of the big mysteries of my EQ experience. *obviously doesn't play charm-tactic-classes*

but like I said I don't care about the charmed pet thing... I hardly use charm anymore. And if I do it's prolly with the bats in Solb and in that case, I *don't* want to go buffing them.
the bear pet is useful for other things, other then farming.
I've used him in several raids, and since he doesn't build agro, he acts like a little dot. The extra 30 or 35 points of damage does help in alot of cases.
What J'Deth said is a better solution. Just have all the spells on the charmed mob break when you leave the zone or the charm breaks. which ever happens first.
It seems they've expanded the range and it's included the dr00d pet. Not like the dr00d pet was worth much though...

What? I don't think this is normal, I used to solo stuff by healing my pet in combat. What heal are you talking about?
