Proof positive that DAOC *is* still in Beta.

And yet, it's more stable then UO, EQ, and AO ever were 2 months in.

Interesting =)

The current beta is a EUROPEAN beta. heh.

To test it on EUROPEAN servers, with additions for EUROPEAN players, in a world that has NOTHING to do with AMERICAN players.

The EUROPEAN version is still in beta...heh.

Just because a game has bugs after release here in the states doesnt mean its still in "beta", that means it has bugs. like most mmorpgs. Hell, EQ still has quite a few bugs after almost 3 years, its not still in beta. heh.

Ah, okay.

Well I see it this way:
As most MM online games(EQ, DAoC, CS ...) are never finished they are in a constant "beta".

It's when they aren't playable that they are still in beta. Like for example, Anarchy Online is in alpha stages now.

It's easy to be stable when you don't have any features.

This is true. Witness AC: stable as all get out, but featureless. Now look at AO: jam-packed with STUFF!(tm), but about as stable as a one legged donkey in a high wind.

EQ's struck a very good balance between having features and actually working.

Now if only you could actually get at the features without devoting giant blocks of time to it...

(Oh, come on, you knew there had to be a backhand in there somewhere.)
