Speaking of that, I think I have blood starting to clot in the back of my throat, and I still have zero tounge control to swallow! ACK
I had my wisdom teeth pulled also. They gave me Percocet (sp?) and I took it every 4 hours for 2 days straight. after that, I felt no pain. during those 2 days I laid down and watched TV, and slept. I ate grits and such.
It may suck for those two days, but it sucks worse to have the pain for a week and swell up and all

I have a chocolate milkshake sitting on my desk now. The novacaine is finally starting to wear off... I give it a half hour or so before I can finally start in on it. But it will be melted by then... doh

When I had my pressure bandage on my head I drank those nasty ass protein drinks mixed with ice cream. Figure since I could barely get a straw between my teeth, with bandages wrapped under my jaw over the top of my head, it was good enough for the time being.

I had one that was growing in 90 degrees in the wrong direction. it was growing sideways, literally.
They plucked em, though, and had to cut through pieces of bone and all, since mine were "impacted" as they said.

no, just have some tylenol, or whatever pain killer ya use for headaches handy, and use them for a couple days.
They gave me a full bottle of percocet, enough to last for a week.
I slept nearly 2 days straight, save for once every four hours i took a pill. : )
