Depends. I think a ship of the line could take a fleet oiler. But if yuo mean like battleship/cruiser/frigate/aircraft carrier/destroyer VS an 18th centry ship then its no contest. The modern ship wooound't even have to fire its guns. Cource, if you played by 18th centry rules, you'd ahve to give the wooden ship a chance to surender.
