Primary Display Driver-Models-Screen After-Repeat.
How can I fix this? I also have to put up the Gamma thingy, select server, and select new models everytime I play. Anyone know how to fix this?
Second:

Kegwen Tabibito had this to say about the painfully obvious:
1) Do you have less than a Pentium III?
2) Do you have an ATi video card that is not a Radeon?
3) Do you have 128mb of ram or less?
4) Does your system run Windows 3.1, 3.11, NT 4.0, 95, pre-SE 98 or ME?
5) Did you update your drivers!?
6)DID YOU TAKE THE TIME TO UPGRADE TO DIRECTX 8.1!?
7) After installing DirectX 8.1, reinstall your video and sound card drivers. EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAD THE LATEST VERSION. Installing DirectX sometimes overrides parts of your drivers, which is easily fixed by reinstalling said drivers.
I was able to play EverQuest yesterday with SoL. This might sound kind of stupid, but what is EQw?

EQw (at one time) was a nice little program that put EQ in a DirectX window. DX8.1-ified EQ don't get along with it.
Anyway, now that you've passed the "DUH" tests, you qualify for actual help.
But wait... if you were able to play EQ with SoL yesterday, how come it's asking you to setup all those first-run settings?
You may want to reinstall EQ/SoL, however if you're not on broadband I don't recommend it...
Trying to think of other possible solutions, I'll be back.

Make sure to download the new Detonator driver that just came out a few days ago, that fixed everything for my Geforce2.
Right, follow the link in my first post.
I think that what I am experiencing doesn't have anything to do with what video card I am using. It keeps showing me the Character Model screen once I selected what I wanted, and everytime I enter EQ, I have to set the Gamma to what I want it at. Err, sorry, posted this too quickly.
If that doesn't fix your problems, come back to us. [ 12-06-2001: Message edited by: Kegwen Tabibito ]
I read the tech help on the official site and they mentioned going into safe mode and making sure the old drivers aren't still installed. I'm going to do what when I get home tonight. You might look into that too, Mayor.

What I am mainly asking is how can I make it so that once I select something once, such as choosing New Character Models or setting the Clip Plane, I don't have to do it again.
I think your install is fubared.
I originally had EQ on a real crappy computer. When I got a new, way better system, I wanted to put EQ on it. Problem: The CD somehow broke.
I copied the files for EQ and put them on a CD so I can copy it to my new computer. After I copied all the files on to my computer, that is when it started to do this kind of stuff. Maybe I am missing a file that saves stuff like this?
Any of your friends own EQ? Borrow the disks from them.

Okay, I'll try that. [ 12-06-2001: Message edited by: Mayor of Townsville ]
