You can get a sentient two-handed sword! It's pretty funny, too. Lilarcor, I think it's called. You can talk to it by going to the inventory, right-clicking on the sword and clicking "Converse".

Now for the quotes...
Lilarcor-
"So... Are we gonna kill something now?"
"Find a rich person. And kill 'em! And find a richer person, and kill them to! Hack and slash your way to fortune! Woohoo!"
"What's my status? Since when do you care about me, unless I'm impaled in something's gut?"
"This is for my grandma, who thought I'd be nothing more than a butter knife!"
"Are we killing something yet? No? How about now? Nope? How about... Now? No? Now? Nope."

Minsc:
"Ah, we are all heroes, you and Boo and I. Hamsters and rangers everywhere, rejoice!"
"Jump on my sword while you can, evil- I won't be as gentle!"
"A den of steenking evil... Cover your nose, Boo. We will leave no crevase untouched!"
"I have lost myself in your words, but Boo thinks you're just ducky. Onward!"

I was kinda shocked when I heard the npc say that (not in text, in audio). I clicked her again and heard her say the same thing...

UPDATE: I'm aware that some may think this is fake. Well, if it's fake, then why does my brother have the sword? He gave it to Minsc, who's currently weilding it.

Also, in addition to the Converse command, the sword also talks in battle. It uses audio (The voice is kinda funny, too. ) instead of pausing dialog, though.

I remember that. It was funny at first, but then it got irritating. Unlike the ever-amusing things Minsc says, even if some of them do get repeated.

As we're talking about the BG2 already.

I'm wondering if Lum the Mad in the add-on was a coincidence or a tribute?

Or did Lum steal his name from some obscure D&D background?

Or what?

Minsc: (At the beginning of BG2 when you are releasing him from the cage after you ask him how he kept Boo hidden from the badguys) Ask not questions better left to learned sages. For Boo is small and quick and there is 'much' of Minsc to search!
