Tonights Target - Battletech 3025

For those of you that are unfamiliar with this game, it is a Online Mech game. There are 5 different houses (factions) that are fighting for control over something like 100 planets. It's fully graphical, the battles are done on vast, detailed landscapes with up to 4 mechs on each team at any given time. The game is in open beta right now. I downloaded it on friday, and played straight through until monday. Today, I log back on and find a new patch to download. "Great!" I think, maybe they'll fix the Ammo Explosions in the Commandos or Blacjacks!

Wrong.

Very Wrong.

They botched the controls to levels of unplayability. The current game is practically unplayable in its current state. The sensitivities of the X and Y axes have been screwed into the ground. Unlike every other game out there, the sensitivies are DIFFERENT. Currently, nudging the mouse/joystick in a verticle manner will cause you to move an incredibly amount, making aiming difficult, even at close range. Currently, long range mechs are USELESS as they must zoom in to reach their target from a distance. The Y-axis, zoomed in, is incredible. The wind could move your damned mouse an unnoticeable amount and you'd completely miss your target. It's horrible.

Now, the X-axis is also botched. You can move the mouse horizontally in about 10 swipes, and you'd hardly even turn. It's horribly horrendous. I really hope they fix this, and soon. Battletech 3025 could possibly be the best game ever.

Not that any of you know what the hell im talking about, of course.

They fucked up Battletech...they must DIE!
I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl, we ate lobster, drank piƱa coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over?

You know ... the original Battletech is terrible boring ...

But most comp games and some of the books are pretty good.
Mech Commander 1 still is one of the best RTS games IMO.

I still remember when they fuxx0red the money you gain in a battle and how much they increased all the mechs costing.

They've just been going downhill with each patch it seems, and I think the link has been posted a few times, but I was well into the game before that
