Why in MY day we were lucky to find a little plastic missile launcher thingie in our omni-bucket 'o Legos! Kids today are spoiled with thier fancy schmancy translucent domes and thier motorized parts. [ 09-30-2001: Message edited by: Maradon? ]

That, and the jetpack pieces. Oh yeah, castle-age breastplates were rare, too. And those big-ass swords.
I always spend time making weapons of my own. I had double axes, short axes and spears, and even scythes(take a pireate saber, cut the handle off, glue the blade to a pole).

Classic Legos > New Legos. I remember when me and my brother saved up to buy a bucket of legos and made a huge castle out of it! We have over 50lbs of legos somewhere.

As far as the Technic kits go (the only kit i own), I have last years edition of the Lego Super-Car..24 hours over the course of 3 days to assemble...nice piece of work tho. If I get off my lazy arse i'll take pics and upload them
