Well, Yasser Arafat DID apologize for his countrymen cheering the attacks on and said they were a small minority of his people...
Leaders of countries don't apologize for things based on what is shown on CNN. 
One of my friend's co-workers was isntalling cable in a house as it happened. The entire family was cheering in glee "They have payed, they have payed!" The man requested to leave the house, becuase he couldn't take working there.

As I said.. many people are furious. There are many mixed emotions going around and the bad apples are coming out of the woodwork. However much you'd like to think you "know" how the "real world" is, you know bullshit. Until you've been to the Middle East, through Afghanistan, Hungary, Israel, Egypt, Iran or until you've recieved a major in Muslim studies, I suggest you go back to opinions and stop claiming facts.
Yeah, you could have ten years on me, you could have thirtyfive, but I've studied the region and I've been there. I also know how to look at it from a more unbiased (though not completely) view, as opposed to the Pissed-off-American-with-a-shotgun view.

I lost a cousin and an uncle. My best friend lost her sister (who was also a friend of mine, just not as close). Yes, it's effected me, my parents' godchild has burns and lacerations all across her body (she was on the sidewalk as the plane hit).
