*sigh* It's sad to see you go, but I guess in the end, it comes down to this. Every comic strip, like every story, must end(even an old favorite, Peanuts, had to stop sometime). My hope is that one day you'll either restart it or do another strip (just for fun, y'know!).

I am highly saddened by this

The comic was great, but to be perfectly honest I feel more strongly for the artist. You're a cool guy Woody, and the world is woefully short on cool guys.

If /gu was going sour on you, then good riddance to it. I might suggest, though, that rather than abolish the idea entirely, fold it up nice and tight and slip it into a back pocket. Take it out now and again to write something on it, and maybe some day it'll be big enough to show the public again in a sort of one-time exhibition. /gu: The Lost Episodes, or whatever (I'd be particularly interested in the one that broke your scanner).

With the quality of your art (and your humor) I doubt you'd have trouble finding a host for it.

I'd also get a kick out of seeing you diversify. Your thoughts on Anarchy Online, Tribes 2, the impending DAoC, and other up and coming MMORPG's would have me enthralled indeed Perhaps a comic dedicated to not one, but all MMORPG's?

Anyway, good luck Woody. Your wit and wisdom are matched only by your good looks and the undoubtably astounding size of your reproductive organ.

Well.. I'm not going to tell you I'm not a bit disappointed, but I do understand the need to move on with life.. we couldn't expect you to do the same thing forever.. no matter how addicted we get..

I second Maradon's ideas. You're a great comic artist, so just go back to doing things for the fun of it, without the hassles of schedules, a fan base, or equipment failure. Best of luck to you in whatever you work on in the future, and be sure to drop in on us from time to time, you're a great and funny guy who many, myself included, can look up to.
