As of to day I am on this list, BUT, in order to be able to afford the two items I want (tunic and bracer), I need 3.1kpp.
I have 1k banked. If I don't have the other 2k by the time my spot in the list is up, I get bumped all the way to the end of the already-growing list.
So, the question is obvious: How does a level 47 Necro go about saving up 2kpp in as many weeks!?
Any suggestions?

what about spending 2 weeks in the frenzy and selling an FBSS? You aren't a meelee class that wants it for use so you are SURE to win.

Another idea is to go to East Wastes in Velious. This is also very camped.
Kill Ulthorks and keep the Ulthork Tusks. You can sell them to other players for a quick buck or you can take 4 to Cobalt Scar and turn them in for random gems. This can result in a blue diamond (Rare).
Not to mention you can pick up some Ulthork hide armor.

There's also the guards around the gate in Misty. They almost alway drop a 6 - 9pp spear and some other goodies. I made a few hundred pp out there in a few hours (granted I was also using my Halfling druid to sell them)
Bank nearby (oggok), merchants even closer, and the occasional blue giant. Yup, I think I'll stick to this place for a bit

Yeah... take up Imbued Teir'Dal blacksmithing!
He's lucky he can take orders... the cultural armor I can make required DROPPED ore from Sol A, Perma, and Highkeep. A DE can go to third gate and buy all the adamantite he wants...
But their temper is almost as bad as the dwarven temper... he must have minions gathering temper components for him... no way he could take steady orders, much less a waiting list worth, without them...

Ok, I lied. It bugs the hell out of me to hear someone talking about 2kpp, when I've only once gone over 200pp with my main. I've burst into screams of fustrated rage when I've seen someone's handywork at playing dress-up with the POD and equipment costing several hundred plat. It drives me nuts. 
I get over it though. I do strange stuff like wandering through BlackBurrow, giving fresh cookies to the Gnolls. It helps.

Given that my highest character is level 15, here is my advice:
Kill Gnolls in BB and hope to the gods you get something good you can sell for 5gp to the merchants. Sell 10,000 of those any you're looking good!!
Or sit up by the perma-frost entrance and hope the people there give you FS weapons. Sell those for 5pp each, sell 1000 and you've got 5k!! EASY MONEY!!
Oh oh!! Go to wisp island and kill wisps, get 200 greater lightstones, give them all to Mylisa in NK, sell the books to Romi and get 2k!!!
