I don;t think i could deal with a power outage more than 2 hours unless I was asleep, my cable modem went out the other day and i freaking out by the end of the first hour, Tv kept my sanity...

Try having power out for nearly a week after a hurricane.

Try not having hot showers. No TV. No Cable. A hot house.

It sucked. big time./

Try living without it for a few months, after awhile you won't miss it nearly as much.

I spent most of a summer in Atlanta living in an apartment without power, it was a quadraplex and the apartment on the opposite corner burned out. Of course that had to be the corner where the power connected to the building, so GA Power wouldn't reconnect it till the apartment had be rebuilt. First week without it was miserable, but after that I had established a routine and it was no longer a big deal.

Thats because Georgia Power is teh suxx0r.

Remember those ice storms.. what was it, two years ago?

Our entire block was without power for a week and a half, near a hundred people.

When we finally got power back the news was talking about somewhere around two more weeks until everyone's power was restored, I can't imagine four weeks without any electricity.

Didn't live there at the time, but yep I remember them. Hopefully a few people then appreciated the work I was doing back when I did live there, I made a living installing fireplaces.

The rolling blackouts aren't actually that bad, we haven't had one that really affected people for a few months now, and they don't really have one planned I believe.
