I've watched the OVA two times over now in DVD, with 5.1 Dolby surround sound with original Japanese dialogue and precise subtitles! Tenchi Muyo ownz. O_o

Now way, Mayuka's cute, not as stupid as Ayeka and Ryoko, and the funniest line from Daughter of Darkness comes from Yosho, when Mayuka wants to bathe with Tenchi, her 'father'

Yosho: You can take a bath with grandfather.
Mayuka: Yaaaay!

Yosho is alright, I suppose. Kiyonie is still the only smart carachter of the bunch who also has some vestigues of sanity... Washu is smart, and amuseing, and cool, but you can't call her sane.

Ofcourse not, when she was promoted to head of the Universal Science Academy, she created the Dimensional Cannon, which got her kicked out, and is used to destroy K.A.N.E. right before he makes sure Lady Achika(Tenchi's Mother, Yosho's daughter, Nobuyuki's wife) doesn't make it out of his dimension after she beats the hell out of him with The Master Key at full power.

What about Sasami/Tsunami? She's smart, sane, a great cook, and she's linked with the most powerful battle ship in the galaxy.

Personally, I think Tenchi needs to end up with Kiyonie, but it looks like he ends up with Ryoko. Oh well.

Hmph, a character I think they should animate from the manga series would be Minagi, Ryoko's clone/half sister/daughter. She's got all of Ryoko's powers, though slightly magnified, and she's got a sweet personality. Put that together with Ryoko's hot bod, and ROWR!

Lol, one of my favorite scenes is when Ryoko is stroking Tenchi, and she reaches down there... He just says, "Whoa." I also like the "Washu's 'sample'" scene. heh
