My chance to get magical items was 97%... (I can get it to 130% or so if I put on all my Item stuff, but I was trying hard to beat Baal,

Install Diablo II v1.00
Finish the game once.
Get Wirt's leg.
Combine it with a tome of town portal in the Horadric cube.
Kill the cow king.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Been there.. 7 times I think, twice as my Barb, twice as a Sorc, three times as a Necro.
Ever seen the unique/exceptional sets?
Oh my GOD... the set bonuses on some are +3 to all skills, and the items themselves add +1 or 2 to all skills

a 97% boost isn't gonna help a 0.001% chance of a magic item dropping much
It was a fast battle, and a lot of crazy sh** happened. Basically, merc died, weapons almost broke, down to 12HP, no mana, and poisoned. It only took a few seconds.
What was my reward? A single arrow.
Cow King? Nope, never got nothin from no Cow King. Nope, no guantlets that give a 40% boost to total mana, not this Sorceress. A-nope!
*Runs away by chain teleporting across Act 1.*
