just by a bit though, spongebob is hilarious.
They're up there with Pokemon now.

that's the appeal to me... not this all growed up thing... they're suffering from what I'm starting to call "disney syndrome" which is "lets make bad(read: horrible horrible sell out) sequels to all our movies and release them to home video right away" I mean come on... cinderella II? why don't you guys just go spit on walt's grave.

pokemon is fairly easy to ignore. I suppose because I just could give a sh!t about pokemon, but also because it's no different from what we had as kids. The ninja turtles? The smurfs? The Snorks? care bears? sound familiar to those of you who are between the ages of 19 and say... 23 here?
well okay the turtles weren't cute but they were on a level of cheesiness that pokemon also inhabits.
and as far as nickelodeon is concerned I liked them better when they were mostly canadian.

ok I possibly have my time frame off then. all my friends at the time were my age so yes, younger children than we were probably watched and remember them too.

Freakazoid still airs early morning on Cartoon Network last I checked.
Canada still gets kickass cartoons. Just ask Gee . They still play Gargoyles up here. On the Family network. And, of course, the loveliness that is The Maxx.

And Spongebob Squarepants is very amusing.
