HURRAH!!! I just found out that the Metroid for Game Cube ISN'T gonna suck! As we know, the game cube metroid (Metroid Prime) Was going to be a First Person Shooter.... And this was announced at E3

And the Metroid Fans got pissed beyond belief

After much bitching, moaning, ranting, and hate mail, it was changed from FPS.. to a Tomb-raider-ish view..... HURRAH! in other owrds, it's gonna be a platform game, much like the original!

I'm an oldbie that went away for about 6 months then decided to come back for no apparent reason............ yep

It still might suck. The game isn't being devloped by Nintendo.

Time was never on my side.
So on I wait my whole lifetime.

As far as I've heard it's still in the first person view, but it's a "first person adventure game" not an fps.

edit: I'm getting an Xbox not a Gamecube anyways so I'm probably wrong about Metroid.

no they took it from First Person view, it's goin to be in a 3rd person now.
Yes, i know it's not being made by nintendo
I liked Megaman Legends.... a LOT

Yeah, it's being developed by Retro, and that's cool that it got taken out of first person. The whole idea of a first person metroid game just sounded stupid to me.

A Metroid FPS could just ROCK! Just like an Aliens FPS could. Play up the horror parts of the game, but keep some of the "get item X to go back and explore area K" aspect of it.

Then again, there's no way they would do it right, so nevermind.
