Better looking shit would be nice too. Forget vanilla WoW. Post screenshots of your shit in action and I'll bug you to tell me what does what.

I just put everything from the old one in and it seems pretty much like what I wanted. How do I disable that fucking floating toolbar whenever I hover over shit? I want it in a corner of my screen, not right in front of it.

That's from a mod I have that suppresses UI errors called !BugGrabber and its companion BugSack. There are a lot of them, but they don't affect the mods usability.

Delete ItemRack if you don't need a mod that manages multiple sets of gear and a lot of those errors should go away. I'm pretty sure most of the errors that I'm suppressing come from that mod.

Necrosis does the following:

1) Gives you a little circular graph of how many shards you have vs. your maximum shardbag capacity

2) Lets you summon, use, or trade a healthstone with the same button.

3) Lets you summon, unequip and equip a firestone with the same button, and re-equips your wand automatically when you unequip the firestone. If you log off with a firestone equipped, it will re-equip your wand when you log back on.

4) Lets you summon and use a soulstone with the same button, and gives you a graphical or audio cue when your soulstone timer is up.

5) lets you summon, equip, and activate a spellstone with the same button, and like firestones will re-equip your wand after you use or uneqip the spellstone.

6) Gives you a visual warning if you target something that is fear immune, including players in PVP who are fear immune from various abilities.

7) Gives you a visual warning if you get a nightfall (very useful for nightfall, since now backlash and several other effects use the same sound effect, and you're still able to hear your neighbors backlash/nightfall/etc. in a raid)

It also has a slew of other features that I do not use and have not explored, but needless to say, I cannot live without it.

Right now, I'm using Vanilla interface as well, and to be honest it'd be nice to have a better looking UI than what I have right now, along with a lot more functionality.

Sean, out of all the pictures posted so far, your UI looks the most bad ass. What do you use? And if anyone could suggest some mods that would make life a bit easier as a healer type, that'd be cool too.

(Though I will be honest, I hate updating all the damn mods each and every time there's a small patch.)

Or you can just tell it to ignore it since most small patches didn't actually break anything, but you know whatever

If you use mostly ace2 mods like Sean and I do, you can use a nifty little program to keep those updated

Ace2 is more or less God's gift to addons. Everything stays updated, the updating is automated, and it all plays nice together with a small memory appetite.

Most notable/influential mods I'm using:

Bartender (Action bars)
ag_UnitFrames (durr)
FuBar + half a dozen modules (Titanbar-like)
Minimalist
simpleMiniMap
Buffalo

sRaidframes and oRA work well if you need CTRaid alternatives, but raiding sucks gtfo

I highly, highly suggest you get either Bongos or Trinity for your action bars. You need to be able to scale your button sets for shit you don't use that often.

Also if you are a warlock, necrosis is a 100% must. It will make your life so much easier and free up so many hotkeys.

I concur with this, which is why I have DHUD.

Edit: seconding the recommendation for Trinity Bars. That's the bar mod you see in my screenshot.

Also if you are a rogue for the love of god get Hemlock if you don't already have it. It adds 5 tabs to the right side of the merchant window whenever you talk to a poison vendor. Click once and it will buy all the ingredients for x amount of that poison, and then click again and it will make them for you!

What sort of bag mod do you need? If it's just to move them, use Trinity Bars and improve you action bar setup all the way around. If what you want it something like AllInOne Inventory, poke around wowace for OneBag. I also recommend Sanity2 (also available on wowace) for inventory/bank/mail management.

ArkInventory for all your bag needs. You will not ever leave for another bag mod once you have ArkInventory.

And MoveAnything! just moves your frames around but in alot smoother way than Visor does.

Edit: More detail on ArkInventory. It remembers your bank and it organizes your bag in categories YOU want. You can also change he default category of items so you can put them in the row/column you want them to go in. For instance I have all linen/wool/silk/mageweave/runecloth set to 'core mats' since the default is 'Tailoring' and ArkInventory was putting them with the tailor recipies I found.

Correct.

I used to run ChatFrameExtender - which isn't a bad addon, really - but Blizzard's protected code execution whatever wouldn't allow me to use /target, /focus, etc, with it.

Use Minimalist to move your chat frame's editbox to the top of the frame so you can slide it all the way flush against your action buttons.
