Personally, I feel like we'd return alot of the good will to this forum if we cut back a bit. So here is what I'm offering.
Overt political thinkers- partner with a pal from across the isle. If they don't post in a thread, you don't post in a thread. Each partner can be assured that by their silence thay are keeping an opposing voice out as well. If one person breaks the silence, the other can post, but only in that thread. This is kinda like what they do in the senate when a senator has to go on vacation or campaign.
I'm offering such a deal. Maradon, Faelynn, or Parcelan, If any of you are interested, please let me know.
Is Blindy trying to lure me into a foursome or something?
This plan seems unnecessarily complicated and imbalanced.

Or people could just exert some self control and limit their posting on the subject. This plan seems unnecessarily complicated and imbalanced.
Some people, like in my case, Maradon, Faelynn, and Parcelan, always irk me into posting when I really don't want to get into the argument.
This method helps because it also removes some of the stimulus to aruging, rather than just relying on willpower alone. Blindy. fucked around with this message on 11-04-2004 at 04:28 PM.
I would much rather have gigantic political debates clogging up the front page than mind-numbing consensus.

Agreed. What's wrong with debate? Healthy debate is good for everyone.

Bush doesn't practice "smart-debt" economics, Libertarians and assorted republicans who are more firm in their economic policies do.
Because of the balanced budget act, government cannot budget to borrow money unless it's a state of emergency. The problem is that state of emergency borrowing only makes the problem worse by borrowing too much too fast and not allowing GDP to grow to accomodate it. State of emergency borrowing is how debt-phobic budgeting backfires.
Defense budget increases do increase the GDP, however, and it also eliminates the need for state of emergency borrowing.
As it stands, I have no problem with your sig. I'd disagree with the suggested magnitude, but you are essentially correct.
