Or...
Your walking walking across the Anaduril bridge, when you happen across a small group of undead. One walks over towards you, in a bit of a shamble and extends a hand "Good day sir...would you mind helping me find Patty McLear's Palace of Pleasure? I'm...setting up a party.."
Or...
Your trecking through the dungeon..having slain countless enemies prior to get the clues..to find said dungeon. As you walk around...you find it rather baren. And then..a corpse! An orcish corpse..you run faster, following the trail of dead bodies to find the cadaver of the orcish cheiftan you were send to kill. Damn..another party got to it before you!
If you find this amusing, then I may have something for you.
"Antaria: The Age of (Repetative) Ages"
My new campaign. Using the 3rd edition rules, a slew of ironic and humourous NPCs, a barage of head ache inducing plot twists and jokes, a gaggle of little D&D and RPG jokes and gags, I have created what I like to consider, a comedic campaign. If your interested, go ahead and post here or send me a PM. I'm leaving this open for 4-6 players and I know Murdoc is in. I've spent the past year observing DMs and reading soft porn novels. The latter has nothing to do with said campaign. Just a little nasty detail.
Okay, I've yakked enough. If enough people are interested, I will post some new things about characters.
Oh...as for wizards, I have new spells on the way, so keep an eye out.

I am suddenly very fearful, and as such, will be fleeing very far and very fast.
Would this happen at vaguely euro-friendly times?
"Frank, it's two in the afternoon.."
"I go sleepy-by!" and yes, it's 3rd Edition, pen and paper.
And Sol: They are humourous and pratical spells. Not dirty. Well..a few might be..

I'll keep an eye out. I'll even lop a hand off if I have to. But there's no way in Hadies that I'm doing what it takes to try out that so-called "Head of Vecna".
As for the game itself, it sounds fun. However, my work hours kinda make it very unlikely I could get into such a thing.
I do wish you the best of luck with it though.

One question, which 3rd Edition Books*Excluding the Players Handbook* are we allowed to use in makeing our charachters?
What do you mean by that? [ 07-04-2002: Message edited by: Maelarr ]
You mean like Sword and Fist? Pscionists (spelling is wrong...I know...bite me) handbook?
Or do we want to make a Grey Render Wizard with the Monster Manual?

I am so very glad you asked. I am still working hard on the campaign, and as I do, I will be editing character classes. I would prefer you only use the PHB. I will allow zombies as a player class (I will hand out special rules for that). if you have an idea for a race, present it to me, and I will check it out. Otherwise, do not roll a character up until I give out the racial abilites.Cthulhu
No Sorcerer. It's a stupid class in my mind and as such, will not be implemented.

Corpanus
+1 to Int
+1 to Wis
+2 to Con
-2 to Dex
-2 to Chr
Personality: These people, after death, are afflicted with something. Something that causes them to rise, yet not hunger flesh. While their blood does not run, nor do they breath, they can think and speak and walk. They are the Corpanus and a race some loath and others embrace.
Physical description: Tall or short, fat or skinny. Whatever they were in their prior life, retaining any wounds that may have caused death. These wounds tend to be hidden under mack-up or stiched up and left to be seen, unless under clothing. They are sometimes sullen faced, other times not, but always pale or blue.
Relations: The Corapnus are widely excepted by people, but certain small communities shun the. Specifcally barbaric tribes and smaller communities of any race.
Alignment: Varies just as with race. Although some tend to lean towards lawful aligments. You can't get in a lot of trouble on the right side of the law..
Corapanus Lands: The Corpanus indeed have there own nation, with a democracy instead of a monoarchy. Because of said government, some living races have come to live with the Corpanus.
Religion: Any religion. All depends on their past history.
Language: Same goes here. If you were a halfing and were afflicted with Corpanus.
Names: see above.
Racial traits (Keep in mind, racial traits such as the following: immunties, abilities and vision modifiers remain):
Life span: A Corpanus will survive as a normal person. Elvish Corpanus will survive for a long time, about 700 years as a living elf would, while Human Corpanus would sruvive 60-80.
Also, rules I am implementing for Combat:
No attack bonuses FOR SIZE. Ignore them. All other bonuses however, remain.
Also, if you strike a critical blow the maximum ammount of times you can, one after another, a roll vs. fortitude or will (I've yet to decide to be honest) will be mad to see if the character is decreased to 0 HP.
Also, at 0HP, a character will go up to -10 points. If not saved before then, the person dies.
Concerning Death:
At a PC's death, a roll will be made to see if the player becomes Corpanus.
Thanks.

What type of rolling system did you want us to use, or just wait til we start and roll in front of you?

Oky doky, I'll Pm him to you once I get him all in order.
200-250 is the life span of a Corpanus.
Cthulhu
>> +1 int, +1 wis, +2 con, -2 dex -2 chr
>> resistant to turning: because Corpanus differ in their nature from most simple undead, they are not affected in the same way by spells that turn or control undead. a Corpanus may be forced to retreat by a Turn Undead spell, but cannot be dispelled by it. they are unaffected by Control Undead spells.
>> immunity to poisons, gasses, and diseases. Corpanus are already dead. they have no need to breathe, and can survive without a breathable atmosphere, even underwater.
>> rotting flesh: if a Corpanus fails to maintain her hygiene, she will contract parasites which will slowly eat away at her CON. for every week a Corpanus fails to bathe, she loses one point of CON, which cannot be regained by normal means.
>> Corpanus get a +2 on Spot and Search as they are now able to survive without food and water and tend to be patient. If PC's play a Corpanus as a jumpy and impatient person, the bonus will be taken away if DM sees fit for RPing purposes.
>> Most piercing weapons deal only 1/2 damage to Corpanus. The exception is the javelin, which is heavier and considered a slashing weapon for purposes of measuring injury to the Corpanus.
>> Varied origins: Corpanus originate from various living species. they retain the bonuses or penalties to armor class and carrying capacity associated with their former race.

It's called rotting, my friend. Dead things rot, yet due to their somewhat...magical nature, they endure longer.

Allow me to say that the humour in this campaign is not always slapstick and sometimes it's not the characters traits or flaws. Read some DiscWorld, then look at Forgotten Realsm, then read the Hobbit, then watch some cartoons, then read A Midnight Summers Dream and then, you have the campaign. Chill before serving and enjoy.
Cthulhu
Don't worry if someone decides to play a wizard. The party will have up to 6 PCs as you said, plus any NPCs, which leaves room for two people to play one class, so long as the party overall manages to round out.
