When I went to bed around 3 AM, we'd just gotten another eight inches of snow. I woke up at 6:30 to see if my mom had left to go babysit my nephews. Turns out she hadn't; since we'd gotten anopther few inches since then. I went back to bed and slept until noon.
When I got up, it turns out we received TWO MORE FEET of snow in that 5.5 hours - it was coming down at over 4 inches an hour.
Here's the current view outside my front window, which is on the second floor, with a porch outside:
This is the view from the front porch, looking into the street. Note the lack of any sort of plowing or tire tracks.
Of course, knee-high snow in the street (waist high in places) never stopped someone from trying to make his 4X4 get through it...
Oh, see those clouds? That's the storm, on it's way BACK.
Here's the front of my house. That is one big, flat hunk of snow on the upstairs porch. We're hoping it doesn't collapse.
Oh, look... it's snowing and blowing s'more.
Now, THIS is snow, people. Somo, Jraik, can I get a HELL YEAH?
Don't worry, I have plenty of Pepsi and Code Red in the fridge....
Gotta love snow like that and working for a Teachers Credit Union. It means when school is out we close!
Enjoy the white stuff, the snowmobile tourism money really helps the local economy here.
Yes, this is the storm that hit you guys - cold air meets warm Great Lakes water - we're at the eastern tip of Lake Erie.
2 inches of snow, and it's raining.

You should see it up here... In Canada.2 inches of snow, and it's raining.
You're lacking a nice big lake to produce snow for you

If it weren't for the bit of red, I'd never know this was my car.
I'm six two. This is me standing in knee-high snow.
It's supposed to do this all this week, Kag. Isn't living by the Great Lakes fun?

I don't mind the absence of snow, it's the rain that ticks me off.

Leaasa had this to say about Tron:
I heard on the radio that Buffalo might get four feet by the time this storm passes. Where we are, we got about three inches overnight, and it was just enough to make driving this morning messy... =(
We have about 6 inches or so here now in lansing, I heard this morning in Grand Rapids they had something like 2 feet on the ground.
As or right now the storm is about 2 miles south of my house.
Here's a shot of my backyard
Pic of the field next to my house
Backyard yet again (stupid short USB cord)
What is snow?

Pesco had this to say about pies:
I live in Texas...What is snow?
It's the cold, white stuff that falls from the sky and piles up.
It's the stuff that's blowing outside my house again... almost whiteout conditions...
Should be a fun coupla days....

Little town on the north end of it called DeWitt. Most people have never heard of it so to save time I just say lansing
Thankfully I just bought new tires for my truck, so the snow isnt giving me much grief. [ 12-27-2001: Message edited by: Reynar ]

bleh. My truck needs a major visit to the mechanic. It needs the oil changed, new tires, a tune up, realignment, all that crap.
Weather.com says we're getting more snow tonight and tomorrow.

Anywho, it got pretty cold yesterday here in Winterpeg. It was -30 (Yes, that's Celsius), and that doesn't include windchill.
