"Polishing Erudite foreheads. . ."
ANYWAY...I do have a question about Luclin. 2 actually.
1.) If I want to do a transfer when I get SOL to my Vah'Shir Rogue . . .What would be the best way to go about this? (I've heard Luclin is dangerous, and I was wondering if it'd be possible to port myself to Luclin from GFAY spires via Nexus and safely do the transfer to my Rogue in Luclin?)
2.) If there is a Nexus near the Vah'Shir City (I HOPE it is), after I do my transfer, will Nexus be able to port me back to Greater Faydark, or will I have to ask the assistance of a high level wizard to get me there?

Well, you could ask for a high Level Wizard's assistance, or a level 29 Wizard's assistance.... But why specificly GFay? If you broaden to BB, You'll have a lot more chances of finding a port (# of Druids > # of Wizards, I don't care what server you're on)
True. I was just using GFAY as an ideal example, though. I wouldn't mind getting a port to WC, even. Just around Freeport or GFAY and I'll be happy. =P [ 12-05-2001: Message edited by: Ayerine Angelyre ]

1. Probably in the bazaar would be a good place. This is a city neutral to everyone. Don't think it should be too hard to get your Vah Shir rogue there. Can always get an invis to be safe. And it's adjacent to the Nexus, just east of the tp back to Kunark.
2. For free, the Nexus can transport you back to Norrath, either to Dreadlands, North Karana, Toxxulia Forest, or Greater Faydark. See the map on http://eqatlas.com for details as to which is which. Kind of like a boat, you have to wait for the departure time after you get your shard from the Nexus scion. Unlike a boat, though, as soon as you leave, you get to the other side as fast as it takes you to zone.

level yours rogue high enough to get hide and sneak, then you can go ANYWHERE
Thanks all for your advice.
What level do I get sneak/hide? :P

You're a cat. What level do you THINK you get sneak?
Yep, that early.
At least, that's when my warrior got it.
some races with innate hide, like dark elves, get both at level 1, but can't actually train hide until level 3, but they can use it. [ 12-05-2001: Message edited by: Densetsu ]
How does the Nexus NPC work? I take it she turns up at the locations that you can be sent back to, but when/how often? Also, do you need to give her anything or do anything?
I know someone in my guild (other than me) will be wanting to bring a kitty into the guild soon. My 26 mage is an officer in the guild (and may be the biggest whimp of a G.O. on Povar), and getting him up there now will make it easier when the time comes.
I just need to know what the heck I'm doing first.
(By the way, for the love of GOD DO NOT ATTACK THE SCION. Someone did and got punched for 2040 some odd points of damage. >.< )
Anyway, Every fifteen VerantMinutes (or about half hour or so.) everyone in the center of the spires with the gem will be taken to the nexus.
Now, In the nexus there are four compass points indicating what continent/part of the moon you can go to.
South is the Bazaar. East is Shadowhaven. A Scion is posted outside each of the "pads". Talk to them to see where it leads.
Pretty much the same thing on the pads in the Nexus, however. Stand on it, wait 15 mins and be ported to your destination. No gem required for the pads, however.
Enjoy your kitty.

Hail this NPC, and s/he'll give you some text, with a question in [brackets]. Simply repeat what's in the brackets like a normal quest, and you'll be given a stone. then, just wait in the middle of the spires until the spires cast the Nexus Portal spell(yes, the spires cast it).
To get back to Norrath, in the Nexus, there are several hallways. Each hallways leads to a different zone, but before you reach the zone, each hallway also forks into a room with two smaller wizard spires, and circluar disc. THere also stands an NPC named '[insert name of continent the spires go to] Scion'. The name of this NPC tells you where the circular pad will gate you to. Simply stand on the pad an wait. The spell effects are cool.

I may bind my mage at the nexus in the near future. Yah, you have to wait for transport, but only for so long. Given that I mostly use my mage for Guild Officer stuff and running missions, that would be great.
Thanks.
Edit: You can also NOT cast any harmful spells on yourself or anyone else in the nexus. Try it, you'll find yourself seeing the message "Delphi tries to cast a spell on you, but you are protected".
They say its cos they dont know what magic'll do to the spires, so they wanna keep it the exact same way that its workin.. I say its so that PvPers dont attack people in the nexus with Gflux at the center every fifteen minutes.. [ 12-05-2001: Message edited by: Delphi ]
I got lost, and had to gate back. One light blue creature attacked me, it makes a nice pair of boots.
I've got a map of the caves, but I still managed to get lost. I can allready tell I'm going to HATE those caves before I'm through.
