You're not to Veteran yet. You've just entered Adventurer. First person out of the Kiddie Pool! Granted, I wasn't expecting any elves to hit 2 monsters on the first 2 days and roll 6s for their racial both times, either. Might have to fine tune that a bit more if this because a rout for the elves.

The idea is to level up on the lower monsters and get gear to help you fight the higher monsters. See, like any games, there's drawbacks to powerleveling

Densetsu the naked cleric travels through the halls of the dungeon. Unluckily for him, the first thing that he finds is a four-headed dog! What's up with that? Dodging the dog's attacks, he finds a sturdy-looking shield on the decayed corpse of a previous adventurer. Quickly he dons the shield, just in time to bring it to bear between himself and the dog, knocking it into one of the dog's heads, which is in turn knocked into another head, and then another, and then another. The chain reaction knocking the dog out cold. He then picks up a few gold coins scattered throughout the room and moves on.

Anakha finds the Church of Blackenoth, who is having a half price sale today! However, Anakha only has 5 gold and is laughed out of the church.

Batty loots some ancient treasure, gaining a whopping 100 gold coins!

Densetsu discovers the Shrine of Katrinitu, though he cannot afford her blessing.

Inferno-Spirit finds one of the worst traps in the game and will suffer a -5 to his Attack Rolls until cured, joining nem-x in the ranks of "Wow, that hurts."

Jajahotep gets herself poisoned as well, adding 5 to all of her movement until cured. While it's not so bad, it could pose problems!

Norim fights a bugbear and loses! He loses a level! However, he has no weapons for the bugbear to take.

Rari lands in a Greater Impotence Trap, getting diseased and will suffer a -2 to any 1d6 rolls she makes! Ohnoes!
