Also, is there anyway to finda listing of population sizes for the servers?
(Currently I don't have FFXI, but should be getting is soon).
It helps because we're all able to help each other out when needed... and when we reach higher levels, we'll be a gruesome compilation. At low levels, groups are really needed -- in fact, they hinder xp.
But some of us are getting towards where grouping is starting to get beneficial. 
We've got upwards of... about 16 or so of us now?

Man, I'll make a Rag char probably then, even if the server might be a little large. (Then again, with the way FFXI does server selection, all servers are theoretically going to be the same size).
Also, due to my school/work schedule, if I join up, I'll probably linger behind you guys for awhile. (That doesn't mean I'll join and /tell Bajah PL me plz!, /tell Fal Gil plz! Armor plz!)
I can work myself up slowly, when I do get the game.

I just died to a easy pray sappling. I had full mp and hp, and no benediction.
Groups are very beneficial for me, now. In fact, unless I want to level on 15exp mobs, I have to rely on groups. Goes with being a whm, I guess.

I don't think there is a command the total population of a server.
