Ok, so me and a friend bought FFXI and are attempting to get it to work. My problem is every time I run a game for about a minute, my computer reboots itself, happens with a number of games.

Here's my friends problem:

'hello, i just got final fantasy 11. i installed the entire thing, updated all the patches and such, and registered an account. I got as far as creating a character and logging in, but the screen is just black. I can see and move my cursor about, and i can hear music so i assume i got right into the game. I have all the recommended system requirements, and I have all the latest drivers for my video card. Anyone have any ideas or helpful advice? Thanks for your time.'

Update your drivers. If problems still persist; reinstall.

Check out the heat your computer is putting off just in case. You might be overheating.

Backstab is such a negative word. I prefer the term, "invasive back massage."

Doesn't seem to be overheating, but I'll check it out.

Further info, this is found in the Final Fantasy Config screen which is in your Start Menu after installation.

But yes, I agree with Batty about your friend's problem.

Well my problem is apparently faulty memory, but anyway.

My buddy tried everything you guys suggested and nothing, anymore ideas? They'd be greatly appreciated.
