I doubt any of you know, since you are all from Windurst, but what should I hunt at level 7 in Bastok? Keep in mind the fact that I am a Black Mage, so I need easier stuff.

Maybe try Stone Eaters and Hornets near Dangruf Wadi.

Level 11 BLM Bastoker here. Soloing you should just hang out kind of in the middle of the zone killing off Quadavs, Rock Eaters, Vultures, and Sprouts (watch out for their final attack though). But STAY AWAY FROM LIZARDS. They'll eat your face off if you don't blow through all your MP.

8-10 (8 might be a bit rough) go outside of D. Wadi. There's all kinds of bees and crabs there that are pretty easy to take down solo.

Also, Palbourough Mines might prove worth it. Lots and lots of Quadavs. You need to head there for mission 1-3 anyways.

Land Crabs, Maneating Hornets and the occasional goblin were good.

I've been in those mines. ARG. Hate them SOOO much. I've died there about 10 times already. never did find what drops the stuff for that mission yet.

Amber's are the best source for drops, but I have gotten one or two off an Onyx.
