Do I have to do any wierd registration thing to post on the main board here?

You have to play on Guinevere, be in our guild, know someone who does or ask permission to.

If you don't have that, best to stay out.

You dont know how hearts burn

Well, since I don't qualify for the first three(I'm assuming this is a Dark Age Of Camelot thing in the first two), can I post?

Err, first of all, by "main board," was that Taobh Aisling we were talking about? If so, I'd change the requirements a bit. I'd say that the only real requirement for posting there would be that all posts must be in-character roleplay. If someone likes us enough or is impressed with us enough to want to roleplay with us, whether they are on our server or not even in the game, I'd like to let them.

Personally, I enjoy meeting new roleplayers and interacting with them in whatever medium. In the past, the Dae' roleplaying forum was a place not just for us, but for people wanting to interact with us. If that's changed, we need to just move the entire forum behind a password protected page or something.

There are some quotes I'd take from a thread in the private forum regarding this, but it's private, so I won't. I'd gladly continue this there if we need a family discussion on the subject, though.

I should clarify my responses a bit. I don't want to open up the main forum in threads that I'm pretty sure at least for myself, am working fairly hard on storylines and things happening in game. While they aren't planned storylines, they hinge pretty heavily on situations and mechanics in the game.

Having someone posting even if it's IC that doesn't play the game and doesn't know our characters could change at least MY storylines a great deal.

Very true all around! I concur. And as always, the safest way to see if it's ok to add to an existing post would be to private message the author and ask. Good advice for most message board related thingies.
