jeez

On Normal, just use 5 or 6 grenades followed by incendiary crossbow bolts or explosive shotgun blasts.

I found the splicers to be more annoying than the Big Daddies by the end of the game.

A fully upgraded crossbow with incendiary bolts kills Bouncers in 2 hits. It's like 5 bolts for Rosie, I think.

I think there's two upgrade stations I didn't get.

One is in Cohen's private quarters in the apartment complex level. To get to it, you have to not kill Cohen in Fort Frolic.

And I don't know where the other is.

Power to The People Location

Credit of information goes to - Ruzlix

#01 - In Peach Wilkins' hideout (Neptune's Bounty), bottom floor. As soon as you come downstairs it's directly in front of you.
#02 - On the way to Farmer's Market in Arcadia, the station is located to the left after you go up the first stairs coming from Tree Farm.
#03 - The Winery's basement in Farmer's Market. There's a flooded area with one of them attached to the wall. It's in front of you when you come down the stairs, just keep going forward.
#04 - In Fort Frolic, from the Atrium bottom floor, go towards the bathrooms and then head right and follow the path until you see some some small stairs to your right leading up to a door. Go in there and go down into the basement. The basement is filled with cigars and the like. On the wall here is the upgrade station.
#05 - Go to Poseidon Plaza in Fort Frolic and go to the other end of the bottom floor (the opposite end of where you enter). Go into Sinclair Spirits (the room that has a corpse on a sort of "altar"). In the basement of this store is the station.
#06 - Hephaestus Core Room, go down to bottom floor and run around (literary) and eventually you'll see it attached to the wall.
#07 - Hephaestus, in Kyburz's office. Attached to the left wall (back turned to entrance) in the back of the room.
#08 - Bottom floor of the Mercury Suites area, on the back of the center pillar.
#09 - In Sander Cohen's secret room, Olympus Heights' Mercury Suites area.
#10 - Go to Atlas' Headquarters in Apollo Square (Fontaine's Home For The Poor area). It's located on the fourth floor. Go down the stairs in the room and look to the right and the station will be in front of you.
#11 - When you enter Point Prometheus and chase Fontaine, eventually you will end up in a little square and Fontaine will go behind a locked Museum door. At the opposite end, from where you came, of this square is a dead Big Daddy and next to it is the upgrade.
#12 - In the Voice changing labs in Point Prometheus, one of the labs has it.

So yeah, I beat it on Hard and in the end, with all wrench mods, I could kill a Big Daddy in the proving grounds without zerging it.

Most of the bonuses after that are pretty un-worthwhile. Of notable interest are spider slicer organs being used as first aid kits, insta-hack turrets and security bots, rare inventable materials on Rosies, +50% wrench damage from bouncers and double film (!!) on security camera corpses. haha.

wait, what?

Several splicers give Tonics and shit after you've researched them enough times. Namely SportBoost (off of thugs I think), which increases your move speed and the speed at which you can swing your wrench.

That, and I personally found the damage bonuses to be worthwhile, especially with the tonic that increases research damage bonuses.

I'm just past meeting the guy who built Rapture. I didn't see that twist in the storyline.

I mean.. I did suspect some parts, I'm not totally blind, but I didn't guess the extent of it. I like how they worked it all together. Very polished.

I'm getting the 360 version so I can play on the big screen, and the base is really slow getting this stuff in and mail order takes forever to PSC addresses. So I'll pick it up when I'm back in the States in a couple of weeks on a business trip. . .but then I have to wait two weeks until I come back home before I can play.

Not that I have any time to play these days with the new job. Went from 35-ish hours a week to 70-ish.

Ah, see, I never played System Shock 2.

These people take a long time to make a game, but damn.. this is one of the best FPS's I've ever played. I've never been bored doing a mission, as I usually frequently am once the delivery boy missions come around in an FPS game.

It seems a good length too, was playing it all today and not finished yet.

Also FYI I'd suggest saving your game when you have the chance to kill Cohen, then kill him, then take his picture for the "Irony" xbox 360 achievement. Then reload your game so he's alive, since you never lose your achievements.

I missed that and am kicking myself for it.

When eating smoked cheese, my heart is open for all.

It's ultra easy to fill in most blanks in your research by revisiting areas. I researched bouncers from nothing to complete in relatively little time just by taking the bathysphere back to the medical pavilion. The bouncer there respawns every 2 minutes or so, with a couple thuggish.

Killing him is a great way to make money too since he drops $100+ each time.

Anyone know if the Scrounger tonic is worth using? Half the time I end up getting less on my second search than I did on the first.
