I'm running out of online comics to read. So far, I read the following:

What I'm REALLY looking for is a comic similar to Elflife... I mean, a continuous storyline with drama, romance, and humor, along with adventure.
Personally, I have tried a few times to start up a strip... but while I have an abundance of drawing inspiration and I may go as far as to say talent, I dont have the mind of a comic. (In other words, I suck at narrating a storyline like that...)
Sigh... I'm in a mood to complain tonight.

If you have trouble with storylines and so forth, there's no better place to find a writer than right here! Solstyce, Leopold, Marapork, and many others are all excellent writers with most dandy imaginations!

And anyhow, I may be willing to illustate a comic if others are willing to provide a continuous and involved storyline... *hint hint*

Remember the most important part of being an evil villain, is revealing your plans to somebody who can stop you with a mysterious past that you happen to be involved in.

I'd recommend Megatokyo right off the bat, a good continuous storyline comic with romance humor and some drama, no real adventure though. My personal favoriteSchlock Mercenary wasn't that impressive to me at first glance, but it's grown on me over time, and is now one of my favorites. It has good continous plot, adventure, and humor, though nothing in the romance department. It's set in the future, though, which is different from most online comics.
College Roomies From Hell is a fun one; it starts out as a fairly ordinary college comic stip, but slowly becomes better and more unique, with each week improving until reaching the current amazing quality (it's now one of my top 3 comics, and considering I've read the full archives of over 110 online comics, that's saying alot) It's got drama, action, comedy, and continous plot, so it may be the closest to what you're asking for.
That's the peliminary list, each one of those is worth at least checking out. They are some of the best that are closest to what you asked for. If none of those interest you too much, just ask for some more recomendations, I've got enough of them. [ 07-30-2001: Message edited by: Chalesm ]

I have a cartoony idea in my head for a strip. Group of friends in High School decide they've had enough of life, commit mass suicide. However, Death dosen't like this, and death is not the end for them. They reincarnate, as cutesy forest animals.
Working on the characters right now. Got a few already down.
Flick: Gecko. Bastard. Carries a gun. Black trenchcoat and mirrored sunglasses. Likes to shoot things he dosen't understand. Naturally, people fear the gecko.
Dinah: Monstrous black widow. Dines almost exclusively on Pikachus, those Digimon that look like blobs, and everything else cute and fuzzy that she dosen't like. Eats male black widows. Extremely sexually repressed, and tries to mate with everything that's not a spider .
Trent: My favorite so far. Reincarnated as a tree. A tree who thinks God's out to get him, and who apparently hasn't learned from his previous experience and tries to kill himself. Eats all the nuts that any squirrel puts in him.
Tad: Even though he was 15 when he died, he's a tadpole. He gets mistaken for a green walking sperm all the time. He will never mature into a frog. Likes eating the organs of all who make sperm jokes.
Mallory: Bit of a ditz. Reincarnated into a bunny, who likes teasing Trent with matches and Tad with condoms. Is usually too cute to harm. Usually.
Sky: Hippie chick who got reincarnated as a sparrow. Is ecstatic about this, to be "one with nature". Has developped a sudden crush on Trent. Decorates him with strings of flowers when he sleeps. Trent, of course, does not like her.
