We’re looking for the greatest of heroes to step forward and demonstrate their skill and valor. If you can prove your worth by becoming the most powerful members of your faction classes, then you could win the chance to continue your adventures in Azeroth beyond the completion of the stress test!
Blizzard will be holding a competition during the stress test to determine the three highest-level characters per class in both the Alliance and Horde factions. At the end of the stress test, three players of every Horde class and three players of every Alliance class will win entry into the World of Warcraft closed beta test. In the event of a tie, total experience accumulated will determine the ultimate winners.

Is anyone here going to try to be in the top 3 of a class? I'm going to try, but I'm gonna be gone for one of the next days, so I don't know if I'll be able to do it.

Now I know why God didn't let me have a job.

And school doesn't start for me until October.

This is where I shine.

Honestly, does anyone expect they have a chance at this? A guild with closed beta accounts, and thus knowing where to go, will play a group of accounts on each side 24/7. If you don't know where to go to quickly level now and don't have people to play with, don't expect to be first in this.

If the population mirrors current closed Beta, then the least played classes are Warlock/Druid and the least played faction is Horde. Good luck!

There's a typo in some of the emails sent out, you have to take the "s" out of https://###.##.##.###/stresstestbeta.

Nem and Jens and Delid should do it as a team.

I was going to try for it, but after spending all of my time getting a dwarf hunter up to 9, I'm getting bored with him. I want to play some Horde action.

If this had started two weeks ago when I was utterly without anything to do I would have tried, right now I can't keep up a fixed grouping schedule.
Life... is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable, because all you get back is another box of chocolates. You're stuck with this undefinable whipped-mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down when there's nothing else left to eat. Sure, once in a while, there's a peanut butter cup, or an English toffee. But they're gone too fast, the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits, filled with hardened jelly and teeth-crunching nuts, and if you're desperate enough to eat those, all you've got left is a... is an empty box... filled with useless, brown paper wrappers.

It's safe to say, if you plan on doing this, don't do tradeskills

What's wrong with tradeskills? With leathercrafting, I was able to max it at 50 at level 10 (need more skillpoints to raise it any higher) and skinning is getting close to max, and I only do any crafting during downtime or between named mob spawns. The only thing really slowing me down is having to go to Orgrammir to get recipes.

If you actually have downtime that lasts more than 30 seconds, you're doing something wrong

Erm? It doesn't take that long to skin something or craft an item.

And, uh, you haven't heard of the spawn issues in the stress test perchance? Yesterday I could go several minutes without finding a mob to kill (for quests), and I was ahead of the curve for some time, being one of the first 10 people on Archimonde. Would have levelled faster if I avoided quest mobs and grinded actually.

The spawn issue is less of a problem now with the levels getting more spread out. but I have no problem sparing a couple of seconds to craft something between mobs. Right now, I'm usually killing 2 mobs in a row, looting/skinning both, and I'll be full health/mana before getting another mob to kill.

I'm level 14. There are 3 level 15s and 1 level 16 on Mygos right now. I have to work for 10 hours tomorrow and start school on Tuesday. No way I am doing it nor do I want to put in that many hours. I would get sick of the game before it even hit retail.
