Read Or Die is the story of a young woman named Yomiko Readman, who happens to be a special agent for the British Library. Her talent: complete psychokinetic control over paper, thus her codename: The Paper.
Teamed with the phasing (and cheesecake-enhancing Miss Deep and the gruff weapons specialist Mr. Drake, The Paper must stop the Great Men from destroying the world with what they've found in the books they've taken from the world's great libraries... before destroying them.

Read or Die is amazingly fun. Lovely animation, great story. The whole thing plays almost like 'The Avengers', with weird science, strange occurances, cool powers (in the first ep, Miss Deep leaps from a huge paper airplane and phases through the statue of liberty, using her powers to be just solid enough to slow her fall so she doesn't splatter... and there's a duel in the third ep that is really cool). I recommend it highly. Rumor has it that AD Vision has it for release in 2003; pick it up when you can.
