My cable connection has turned to total shit over the last day or so, rendering it impossible to play any games. It is fine for a bit, then all of a sudden a massive shitstorm of packetloss pops up. During said shitstorms, my firewall picks up a fuckton of ICMP destination unreachable bouncebacks.
I have tried everything I could think of to remedy the situation. Firewall off, firewall on with reduced security, releasing and renewing the IP, rebooting, power cycling, running ad-aware, killing suspicious programs in msconfig...
Out of ideas, and nothing left to try

running ad-aware,
Being a n00b is hard, but your heart was in the right place. Even if your spelling wasn't.
I'd say take it up with the cable company, see if they're having any network problems, or if your neighbors on the network are downloading lots of porn or something.
Besides, the helpdesk at this ISP was pretty useless last I tried.

All tracerts I attempt to send out die after one hop, at my ISP. So how am I able to view pages 'n crap if packets are not getting past my ISP... o_O
It's obvious that you have angered the tiny demon who lives in your computer. You should appease him by sacrificing one of your old games in a ritual known as the "M`ikro W`aivmelt." If you do this, he will restore your internet connection to its former glory.

Oh, and you might want to try asking on Broadband Reports. (Yes, I know the link is to dslreports.com. Its still called Broadband Reports.) They have some decent forums setup. [ 09-16-2003: Message edited by: Talonus ]
Check your cables and make sure they arn't bent a lot or pinched anywhere.
