I abuse this thread to bitch about me not being able to connect.

I start the game, the login-window appears, stating 'Version checking.. now' and after about ten minutes I get a message saying 'Not able toconnect to the autoupdater. Please try again later' or something similiar. After that the program closes.

Dammit.

Dammit.

If you're having patcher problems, open up Regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SoftNyx\GunBound

and change the value of Url_Fetch to http://www.evercrest.com/fetch.dll

You can change it back to http://fetch.gunbound.net/fetch/fetch.dll to actually try to patch up again.

That doesn't do anything for mine Drys.

This is kinda getting on my nerves because my brother can log in perfectly, and I'm stuck at 'Checking Version...now'.

There was a patch last night and I managed to get it. Other than 1 MASS booting of everyone today things seem to be running a bit better, but I still can't win gold for shit.

At least the turtle has an excuse, the turtle fires a water cannon and doesn't attack directly.

I still think the Grub and the Bigfoot are absurdly powerful when used for long distance artillery. I grabed over 1k gold off of a single score match last night with a long distance grub.

Bigfoot is overpowered when using the Bunge shovel and his number 1 attack. In some maps you can bunge an enemy on the first turn with that combo.

But as for grub... it's just a cash cow. The boomer bonus makes it too popular for people wanting fast money. And as a result, the better players pride themselves on the fact that they don't play it. Or so it seems. I asked about it on a thread once...
