This may seem like an odd question, but what the hell. Does anyone have, or know of any fax programs that can be used via DSL modems, or something that can emulate a fax modem. Don't have one of my own, nor a fax machine, and money is a bit on the tight side to go to a fax-service.

I know you said money is tight but the best route for this would be to just buy a fax modem they have to be dirt cheap. Saw one going for $13(US). They uselly come with a fax program to boot.

Ones that cheap are more problems than they're worth though honeslty. Even with a decent one paper can be dammed expensive, especially if a telemarketer gets ahold of your fax number. We have an unpublished number and get 10-14 spam faxes a week, with no way I know of to stop them.

Cheap fax modem, there are utils built into WinXP/2k to handle sending faxes...

You could go with efax.com, but I've only dealt with them as far as receiving faxes, not sending... not sure how that works, but I bet they charge.

checking out Efax, seems they have a special deal for Yahoo!Dsl users, try free for 30 days. normally 12.95 a month, with a $5.00 fax credit. 10 cents a page.

Seems to work so far, although the places im sending to might think it weird seeing a resume come in from a San Antonio #, with an El Paso address...
