While I sit at work my mind wanders often, thinking about better ways, new ways, the future. I am so excited about the things the future holds in store. The ways that our modern medicine and technology allows for things that were in the realm of science fiction when I was a child that has become science fact. The NASA plans to finally go to Mars, The Human Genome Project, high speed internet connections, computers in cars and running house functions, working robots that have real uses in a commercial and industrial purposes... there is so much out there...

so my question is this,

What about the future excites you?

The fact that I won't need to drive 20 miles to get alcohol illegaly.

Not much else. Life is pretty dull round these parts.

The future depresses me, not excites.

The possibility that my router may stop being a little whore.

But that's about it.

It's not something people hear about.

Well, I meant System memory (Actual RAM plugged into the motherboard).

But it shouldn't be too long; Rambus is 800mhz, no?

I'd really like to see a cure for something before I die. The Human Genome Project I hope will help with that. How about curing blindness, or a cure for cancer? I'd want to see that.

TIME TO STEER THIS THREAD AWAY FROM POLITICAL FLAMEWARNESS!

The future... hm. Well, obviously, I'll have a buttload more time to do writing, which means I'm looking forward to finishing/publishing a book. Or two. Or eighty. I have about three billion ideas for everything just sitting, gestating in the back of my head. They want out.

And of course: Move to California, marry, sterilize myself, get an apartment with milove, live happily ever after forever .

Grammar is your enemy! - While being able to understand someone's sentences might seem like a good idea for a proper essay, complaining on a forum scarcely leaves time for such trivialities. Write fast! You're angry, grrr! Make that show, and forget about things like capital letters, punctuation, and verbs.
