Alright, i've been asking around on IRC and shit, but Ill ask here too

Who here has done the Advanced Placement Chemistry exam, and can tell me what to expect tomorrow morning?

Remember, all constants will be provided for you.
Most standard equations, like the G(forgot) Free Energy Equation and Gas Law stuff will be on the same sheet as the constants.

You don't have to clear your memory for your calculator, and you can use a graphing calculator. Take that as you will. I'd certainly never endorse cheating.


1/4th of all incorrect answers are subtracted from the number of right answers you get. You are graded on how many right answers you get.

On the Free Response, if you don't know a part, but you know what you WOULd have to do in the follow-up portion of the same problem, write the equation. You get points for just knowing what you would have to do.

Always. Remember. Your. Units.

Significant Figures matter. Don't fuck up.

Nirvana said it best: "Take your time, hurry up, the choice is yours."
But just try and make sure you finish.

And if you finish, go back and check everything. Trust me, there's almost no way you should be completely finished and completely checked in the time they give you. If you think you're completely done and you have lots of spare time, you messed up.

There will be an Equilibrium Free Response problem.

AP Testers like Electrochemistry.

Wast akeing ap chem a btithis year, bt consdiering i ahdnt inished nroaml chem yet, it was after school so it didnt count agaisnt us, and the book he todl us to buy didnt even cover the basics, i dropped otu after my braine xpldoeign for a few weeks

Grammar is your enemy! - While being able to understand someone's sentences might seem like a good idea for a proper essay, complaining on a forum scarcely leaves time for such trivialities. Write fast! You're angry, grrr! Make that show, and forget about things like capital letters, punctuation, and verbs.

I wish I could express it in words. I genuinely have never done a test like that before in my life. I knew a good bit of it, but jesus, where the hell's the time to write it all down? my handwriting turned to shit as I was just RUSHING to get it all down. He took it from my hands, literally, as I was doing it. And he said once we finish the section without calcs, we apparently can go back to the section that requires it, however we can't use them.
What the bloody hell. Anyways, Im not mad about it or anything, im just afraid ill get a one. I think I did fairly well on multiple choice. My essay questions were all bullshit stuff I came up with. Oh yeah, let's pray the rest of the world did bad.

Anyways, if I score a 2, I can challenge the score, and Ill be bumped up to a 3 based on all my lab experience.

Ya, I took it this morning with ya. Damn Organic Chemistry problems screwed me up, we never got to that in class. I did ok on Section 1 but Section 2 really sucked.

I took it this morning too, was'nt all that bad. I can't believe they did the question on light or wavelength, and had it required. That sucked.
