Lets see, they have chemical warheads that were not reported on thier statement to the UN. Yeah I think that would qualify. You don't keep them laying around in Good condition for the hell of it..

And these were NOT ones they have used before. They are empty, as in waiting for the chemical to be loaded. These things cost a lot of money and it was stated that they were well kept.

Yeah this would be a bad thing for Iraq.

There's talk of a possible coup in Iraq now. Sounds like the Saudis are offering money, position, and refuge to generals and high ranking officers in Iraq if they will turn against Sadam.

Maybe the Iraqy people will realize this is the way to go, since if we go to war there will be innocent civilian casualties.

Did you read the same article I did?

Nowhere in the article does it state that these warheads weren't accounted for in Iraq's inventory of their arsenal, only that the site wasn't declared. Suspicious indeed, and it definately does not look promising for Iraq, but it's hardly a "smoking gun", especially considering they're all over 20 years old, they're all apparently empty, and Iraq claims that they were inventoried.

Before you start banging your war drum, you might want to wait until the inspectors, you know, the experts, make heads or tails of the situation. Though I suppose that's a lot to ask considering the truth has apparently never stopped you from jumping to conclusions before.

From the article which Azziza didn't read:
"It is neither chemical, neither biological," Amin said. "It is empty warheads. It is small artillery rockets. It is expired rockets. They were forgotten without any intention to use them, because they were expired since 10 years ago."

He added that "this type of rockets were declared in 1996 and again in the new declaration."

So lets see, the Inspectors found missles that expired about 10 years ago and were DECLARED by Iraq before they were found.

Drysart already got to it, so i'll leave it at that.

Perhaps, if you consider full working order warheads with no payload. I guess they could launch them and pray they hit someone in the head.

Gee are you really so dilusional as to put any stock in a statement from Iraq?

And the story says that the Missles were NOT included in the reports iraq sent. As in not there.

quote:
weapons inspectors uncovered 11 empty chemical warheads in "excellent" condition in Iraq on Thursday -- materials the U.N. said were not included on a "complete" list of weapons Baghdad previously said it had in its possession.

It would take perhaps an hour to load these things up and have them ready to go. But then again Iraq would never do that. I mean they are a peaceful country. They would never invade a neighboring country that can't defend itself, or use chemical weapons against thier own people, or Burn oil wells so that the enviroment is desroyed and people have to give up thier lives....

Oh wait. Iraq has done all this. How silly of me. And this is the county you support..

Azizza, it's dangerously stupid to say anyone here is "Supporting" Iraq. It's also highly likely to get you flamed to a cinder. Watch the insinuations.

They're well-maintained chemical warheads, minus payload? Find out out how long ago they last had a payload. Find out where in the vicinity of the weapons you could safely and without detection stash a large amount of nerve gas or whatever.

On the other hand, no one can play off the idea that Iraq is innocent anymore.
