One coworker immediately protested the recipe, claiming an intense hatred of coconut.
The other pointed out that it required not actual coconut, but coconut sauce. The offended coworker raised a brow and began to concede to this, until I raised the question:
"But think about this...would the sauce of Hitler be any less evil than Hitler himself?"
Some might argue that sauces are created without sin. However, it's also arguable that an evil mind would create an evil sauce.
Discuss.
One of the best songs ever.
I dunno

If you made hammer sauce, could you smite a foe with it?
Can you install a game sauce? Is Worcestershire sauce still a county in England?
By the powers invested in me I hereby declare that all sauces were created equal, for better or worse, now and forever, amen.
But you can't make a coconut sauce, with out the coconut!
bleah..

This is not always the case, as I'm fairly certain the people of Worcestershire, England can attest that thier sauce is not made from them or thier realestate.
Just as girl scout cookes are, sadly, not made from real girl scouts. [ 01-08-2003: Message edited by: Maradon XP ]

nono, the girl scouts aren't crushed for the cookies, they're ground.
No, Really. Bite me.
If the sauce is indeed made of coconut, even the smallest amount, the sauce is indeed tainted in the tastes of the haters of coconut. However if the dish is merely named coconut sauce, any such taint is a figment in the mind of the taste.
For the issue is not one of taint or lack thereof, but the human reaction to perception of taint.
