I don't think anyone who had anything to do with EverQuest is even involved in Galaxies.
Much like EA doesn't have it's Madden team make Medal of Honor, Sony doesn't have it's EverQuest team make Galaxies.
And EverQuest has been ten times better since Sony completely took over the reigns.

Sony bought Verant a long, long time ago.. they just kept the name, though they were the ones calling the shots. It wasn't until recently that "Verant Interactive" was officially removed from the logos and stuff is all.

Remember the most important part of being an evil villain, is revealing your plans to somebody who can stop you with a mysterious past that you happen to be involved in.
