Shwing.
I'm officially a little spoiled bastard. It's an early Christmas/birthday present, mostly.
Pictures to come. [ 10-16-2002: Message edited by: »Waisztarroz« ]

Maybe it's because I'm tired and stressed that I don't understand this, but what does that have to do with this thread?

How's it drive?
I wish I could tell you, but my homework has kept me from driving it.Plus I need to learn how to drive manual.
My dad has reported that it is "very fast" and "zippy". He notes that it has an engine similar to his old Camry's but with a Corolla chasis, so it performs very nicely. It's the 180hp engine because it's the XRS model.
I was only able to note that the "60" on the spedometer is not placed very far from the 0. The spedometer reads up to just past 140, so I'd guess that it's probably got a decent amount of kick. [ 10-16-2002: Message edited by: »Waisztarroz« ]

Again, I'm going to claim temporary illness/insanity.
Why?

Don't worry Waisz, you don't need a strong anything to drive stick. Just remember: be gradual.
Good points. Also, until you've driven for a while, really listen to the car. It can give you indications of when to shift (Obviously) and when you're pushing it too hard, and stuff.
And be prepared to use your other foot. After a year of driving auto, I don't think I can do that yet.

Because when you learn how to drive a Manual, most will stall out the engines many many times, causeing the car to come to a very herky jerky stop.
What I am hopeing is that you have a beater, or at least not a brandy new car to go learn on, other wise you will be beating the shit out of the new car's drive train.

Eh, big deal. Just about every manual has someone learn on it over the course of its life; it's not gonna kill it. I mean, unless he really sucks at it.

It's a 2003. Brand new.
I'm fairly concentrated on driving, so I hope that'll help, but I imagine I will still probably stall it a few times. I'm gonna drive it around my neighborhood a bit this weekend first to get a feel for shifting 1-2 and back.

Just rember, shifting gears is a smooth process...
But in the beginning, or at least the way i was forced on the truck, if your shifting, give it a bit more throttle than you need and go a bit slower on the clutch. You will be rideing it, but it's new and you can build up to shifting faster.
