Seriously though, don't take offence at the use of the word "mutant". Given 'Deth's love of comics, and all the bad Sci-Fi monster movies we've all seen growing up, it's a fair question. Mutant isn't allways a bad thing. (In fact, I played a mutant feline with wings in a Champions game for a while.)

Anyway, I like the picture. Are the spots on the wings supposed to look somewhat like paw-prints, or is that just me?

Accually I don't mind being called a mutant. Just how it was put that edged me.

What I dispise most of all is being called a damned furry. On a whim of bordom I added wings... That does NOT automaticaly make me one.

And yes, those are pawprintish. Couldn't think of anything really to put in them. This little whim probaly won't last and will be a wingless plain ordinary black cat.

Given my catch-all definition of a furry as "A person who portrays themself as an anthropomorphic animal," Aani's picture doesn't quite qualify, but it is boarderline.

It isn't an anthropomorphic animal. It's not a real animal but it's not a Human-Animal either. It is exhibiting human specific behavioral traits though (holding a doll, thinking cognatively, etc).

JLA wouldn't go after that. Young Justice tops. Can just see Kon and Imp trying to catch the cat-bug.

And all furry types and pseudo-furries and morphs and werecritters need to get it into their head once and for all that this isn't a board for that. Period. Talking animals are not the norm. The owner of the board doesn't really care for the furry/talking animal genre. Never has. Used to have things set to delidgabomb the sig pics of furry and furry-type characters or anyone who he felt fit the mould.

People who flaunt it risk having others take shots at them. The ones who have been around ages like Palador and Zephyer have shed the proverbial blood in the mud and they've become accepted. BUT that is not the norm, this isn't a furry/were/morph/talking animal board.

So if it comes up because you drew attention to yourself...well...*shrugs* There are rules in place to protect folks from unreasonable teasing, but in the case of the furred ones, the notch that marks the line where "reasonable" becomes "unreasonable" is a little to the side.

So some people need to get a grip.
