Don't you know the rules, stormtroopers are only competent offscreen, hell look what they did to the jawa's sand crawler. See it has to be off screen, much like red shirts, off screen they are ok, on screen they are just a body count.
O and how about instead of going back to EQ, try DAoC of AO?

Okay, you can twink me then.
Do all 3. You can do what you're in the mood for at any given time then.
That said, the saber is hella fun. You can drag it along a wall or object to produce a glowing molten line across the wall, it sort of 'motion blurs' around, great sound, etc.
2) DS has quite a bit more replayability. You've got an entire party, rather than just one character. The entire party is fully customisable. You can make any character any job (Though certain characters are better at certain jobs).
The graphics in both games are exceptional. The first is shorter, but requires more skill in jumping and FPS type games. DS is more of a RPG. Longer, but some bits can drag on.
3) EQ is EQ.
I'd recommend 2 if you want a game you'll be playing for quite a while longer, but with a slower pace. 1 if you want fast paced action and some kickass saber fights.
3 if you're just the kind of guy that likes EQ
