Well, as of late, quite a few people have been posting that they quit their mages, and posting how mages suck. They offered 0 ways to help in fixing the problem, just that "Mages suck because blablabla"
Does anyone think this post I made was too harsh?

OK guys, been seeing quite a few of these as of late...
and they need to stop.
Not to be rude, or sound insensitive, but if you quit your mage, thats one thing. But coming here and telling us how much you believe your mage sucked, how terrible you were at this, and how much everyone else is better than you at that lowers the morale of everyone here.
If you feel something is wrong with the class and you quit your mage, bring the issue here, offer solutions and such. Dont say "I quit my mage because mages suck and this is why they suck"
Remember -- we aren't here to complain about how much some people think we suck, but to help each other to learn things about mages, help others learn about mages, and do what we can to fix some holes that we have in our arsenal.
In closing, please stop the "I quit my mage" posts. Any made after this posting will be removed from the board.

but i must say that Wizard, rogues & mage may have a bit more troble of gething groups, & that is sad
becouse any class can be Great to have in a group if the player know what he his doing
(And rogues just rock completely, obviously)

Although personally, I'd like to give a hearty "Fuck You" to the whiny ass Mages who couldn't stand the fact that Dire Charm allowed Enchanters to actually do damage again and wound up getting it nerfed. Enchanters are getting resists from GREEN mobs now and the rumor is there are further changes going in. Because some mages got pissed because they didn't have the abso-fucking-lute best pet anymore a really useful skill that enchanters *sacrifice* to get is now pointless.
Same thing will be true of Druid and Necro DC I'm sure....

NO CLASS SUCKS. Some are more useful then others. Some need more tuning then others, but there isnt a useless class. Every class has some function, even if its a pathetically small one.. *caugh paladins BMB caugh* Regardless though, everyone has a part.
Really though, if you're going to just quit and say "I suck." You're probably right. YOU SUCK, but your class needs work. Go play DAoC, its alot easyier.

I am, but thats a common paladin bitch. Which really, they should shut up. I group with a paladin frequently at our raids.
Best damn back up healer you could ever ask for. Puts druids to shame.

Druids get heals like Shamen. And Shamen aren't too damned bad about backup healing/assist healing. Druids should actually do a bit better than most Shamen simply because they get a better Mana pool (Large races get gimped a bit on mana).
And I don't wanna hear any bitching about class uselessness. I'm a freaking Mana Battery/DMF dispenser. Granted I think it's rather amusing folling an Enchanter arround like a Pet hoping like hell a Druid or a Shaman will heal me since I'm dumping Mana and HP into the Chanter keeping his ass alive...
The second worst thing you can do is start rambling on about how great Mages are without posting any actual, incontestable evidence as to why mages are great. Nothing pisses off someone who's discontent more than someone who's content telling them they have no reason to be discontent.
The worst thing you can do is get insulting. Of course though, that's pretty much the worst thing you can do in any conversational situation.
If you encounter these people again, I suggest you ask them why they're discontent, ask them what they want out of thier mage that they aren't getting, make suggestions as to how they might get it out of thier mage (use factual examples. this is important.) or if you can't arrive at anything solid, suggest a different class. Not really.
Paladins now have an amazing group heal. They also have superior heal and they have a heal over time.
Druids have remedy and a divine light clone. Both of which are good, but neither are HoT or group.
Having an exceptional paladin healer doesnt make druids crappy, it just means the paladin is a really good healer.

Mages werent the only ones that had problems with it, and only some mages did.
Most mages that had a problem with it did NOT advocate a chanter nerf -- we are happy for chanters. What we wanted was an AA skill for mages that was worth a damn
We killed Grieg Veneficus with 2 clerics which were on the Main Tank. And each group had its own paladin group healing.
We just made like 40 mods and let them go nuts. It worked great =)

SoL make enchanters extremely important. No, you wont do damage, but you know those agro mods?
Just as important as complete heal. Enchanters can dictate who gets hate.
Alot of SoL ubers have screwy agro and odd rampage lists. Those mods own.
There isnt anymore "buff c2 and go fishing" Any enchanter worth his salt will be assisting the mob, reducing agro no people who shouldnt have it and helping in agro transition from tank to tank.

You mean Thunder of Karana. Or Thundernerf of Karana, which I call it.
It was changed to a 100-200 mana sieve spell. The mana is not given back to the pally. Ask Pesco and Delphi about it... *snicker*
I have it as well... I don't think this is the final form they're going to change it into... it still irks me that no one considered the effect a six second silence spell would have on the game...

Its not so much the silence part that was the reason it got nerfed. Its that VI overlooked procs, specifically, Dragon Roar and the like.
