Just use '[' instead of '<'.

Rory had this to say about Tron:
Ok but how do I put my pic in URL form? It is saved tomy hard drive. It is in the following (and I tried this but doesn't work):
C:\my documents and settings\my documents\my pictures\Yuum's Cleric Guide
So how do I put that into [Invalid image tag] and make it work? thanks a lot.
You can't, nor would you want to. You have to put it on the internet somewhere. Check with your ISP how much space on their servers you may be entitled to, and how to upload something there.
You link it from there, not from your hard drive.

Ease off, dude. Your reply wasn't there when I started mine. Been that kinda day for me.

Dang, Drys seems to have a picture for almost every situation.
You'll have to check with your ISP, Rory, and see what they offer in terms of web space. If they have it, they'll also have instructions.
Personally, I use FrontPage, and let the software do all the work.

I wasn't making fun of you, Might, I was making fun of the n00b.
Your post kinda amplified mine.
You don't need HTML to host. Most uploading is done with an "upload file" button that comes in a browser.
Which ISP do you have, any way?

Boy, some you guys think your real cool. Making fun of a guy that is just trying to get some help. If you don't like my post F*** off and stop flaming. Now for the people that were trying to help. I uploaded my pic into angelfire. Now what do I do? Thank you.

and no parce, its not hypersensitivity. its people being total jackasses to someone who doesnt know it all about the net. My god, you mean to tell me not everyone knows it all?
*gasp*
Tolerance of ignorance about the net is a-okay.
Tolerance of ignorance about spelling is something far worse.

Pfeh. I'll wager his "sum1" brought it upon himself more than anything.Tolerance of ignorance about the net is a-okay.

he says "sum1" once.
Other people around here CONSTANTLY abbreviate things, constantly.
Cut the double standard, please
Besides, beating the newb around a little helps build character.

No, beating around the newb makes them never wanna come back to the forum.
And no, noone around here says "sum1"
But Kagrama, myself, and others constantly use JEFFK spaek and noone ever bats an eyelash. Its like you are just looking for an excuse to be a jackass to a newbie.

WaisztarrozBarrimas impressed everyone with:
There's a deliberate difference between spelling errors because you don't take the time to fix them and purposeful ones used for a comedic reason.
so "sum1" is a spelling error?
Well, at least Ive got to compliment you on finding an excuse to be a jerk this time Waisz.
I know you want to do good and defend the po' po' widdle n00bs from us big, bad jerks, but we're dead on here.
See, if you do it on purpose and exaggerate it to such a grand degree that it's funny, nobody bats an eyelash. But if people start doing stuff like that as normal speak, it gets irritating.
I know that such abbreviations get on peoples' nerves, so don't think I'm acting alone here. It has to be projected that such language isn't looked upon favorably.
Now, unless you want to debate that fact, why don't you go find some orphans to rescue from a burning building?
And excuse the hell out of me for calling someone on their being a jerk to someone. Did I say that his posts were error free and 100% gramatically correct? No. I never once did.
But ya know something? Nobody is perfect. People will make mistakes. They will miss things while editing their posts, and looking them over.
How about, instead of being a jerk, you point out "Some people may not like you abbreviating words, and maybe you should check over your posts a bit more carefully" instead of just thinking that being a jerk is ok. [ 01-07-2002: Message edited by: Falaanla Marr ]
On this board, it should be given that you either grow thick skin or a sense of humor. It's not like we were maliciously attacking the guy; we were taking not-so-subtle potshots at him. It's a good way to learn and builds character.
And judging by the way he reacted to it, our friend has a wee bit of a way to go.
And for Pete's sake, people, hazing isn't all that bad. When it gets to the point where it mirror's the Sinfest's boards initiation rites, then it's bad. For now, it's just a little way of poking fun and showing someone the ropes.

So because someone "needs to grow a thick skin" its ok for you to be a jerk. I see, I understand.
Yep. Its ok for people to be total jerks, everyone needs to grow a thick skin.
He asks for help, gets made fun of. Someone new to a forum will think of these people as total jackasses, and not want to come back. I know quite a few people who have left due to others here being jackasses to them.
And I'm sorry, but im a little more sensitive when people make fun of others. I constantly went through that shit during high school. People constantly harassed me, because I was different. Because I was intelligent, unlike them. A thick skin can only get you so far.
Fal
And we weren't being malicious jerks as we were poking fun, albeit harshly. It's natural selection on message boards.
I'll grant you it seems to be a tad more malicious than most hazings, but he brought that upon himself with his deliberate misspelling. But, then there's the electric fence theory.
So, either way, if he's still around by now, he's learned something. Builds character.
This argument is over.
If he was a more frequent poster, then we probably wouldn't him/her because they should know and get the sense of sarcasim that many posters have. However, he/she is new, thus, doesn't know his surroundings yet. By taking 'pot shots' at him/her, they some times don't want to come back.
So in conclusion, if you don't want to help, then STFU keke thx bye plz ^_^

That's why there's that big, obnoxious red line
I'd recommend either shrinking or cropping the heck out of it.
And sorry for some of the people here.
