Well. there's already a dark elf or two, (Jadeth and Kekvit) so a third would just blend in too much. And it's like that so you remember to never mess with Ja'Deth's lab again.

And no complaining! Your're a character in multiple web comics, from Ja'deth's work in progress, to Fennar, and even a possible unnamed guest shot or two in Evercrest. Do you know how many would kill to fill your shoes?
