I downloaded an .avi file but when I play it in Windows media player I just get audio. Then after right clicking, going to properties, and then to preveiw it gives me the error message "Video not available. cannot find 'vids.div3' decompressor". Can anyone help me out here, for I have no clue what is going on.

Edit: The spelling! The spelling! (been too long since I posted)

You probably need either (or both) a Codecs driver as well as a DIVX driver.

I have both, if you need them. Just lemme know where to email em

Haha, I never think I am going to out live this darn finger! But anyways thanks a lot Bajah, I can find them on my own just had no clue what to look for . Oh, and you guys will be seeing more of me now that my brother is a college, more time with nothing to do a.k.a. More time to camp boards!

Haha, sort of, I tracked down "Noir". An anime which was being fansubed as fast as it was being produced in Japan, it's ratings have spiked, Japan loves it, as do American's even though it only finished the 26th of september it is the second most popular anime around.

This happened to me too. It ended up I just needed a more up to date version of Media Player. It worked for me then. But maybe Bajah's thing will work too.

By the way, Xellos is one of my favorite anime chars, hehe.

Thanks Ragabash, I have 7.1 so thats not it, and as you can tell I love Xellos too he just fits perfectly into slayers. As for you Random, I tracked them down on Morpheus a little bit ago, it was hard then, but it is easier to find nowadays, I have like episodes 2-9, and 12-20, so I don't have ot all yet, but I am working on it!

Anyone know were i can get the divx driver that ISNT or above, it isnt backwards compataple and most of my divx stuff i got long before 4 was releasesd

I've been having the same exact problem, except when the download completes, I get two options: download player for this video-Yes_No. When I hit no, I just get audio. When I hit yes, I get an error message and the window closes. So, Bajah, if you could please?

Haha, of course I remeber you Ford Prefect, although I can't remember your exact sig pic, I want to say dark blueish guy with a swordm but that may be someone else, and don't worry about it Bajah, Khyron's patch works

Being a little slow on the whole internet bandwagon. I'm so glad you guys are around.
I'm one of those people who can type fast and surf.
But as far as divx or ini or any of that stuff I'm as clueless as a newborn kitten.
