Seems Civ5 and MOO2 had a love child.

Available to pre-order on Steam now, with an interesting twist. You get to play the game right now in its Alpha stage and interact with the developers to make it the game you want rather than the game that's simply given to you. For an Alpha build, it's already pretty amazing.

Yeah, I've been looking at that for quite a while, although I haven't been brave enough to actually buy and play the alpha yet. Should I?

As long as you don't mind beta testing.

Their alpha seems more finished than SotS2 was at release.
