Gym, pool, three minute walk to the GO train which takes you right to the Toronto Subway system, security guard, underground parking, five-ten minute drive from all three 400 series highways, extremely clean and well kept high rise, ten minute drive on non-main street to work instead of twenty minute drive on a packed main street.

'no animals allowed' is against tenants rights in Ontario.

"The rules relating to smoking and pets vary. In most provinces and territories, the landlord can refuse to rent a unit to tenants that smoke, or have pets. In others (Ontario), the landlord may not prohibit the tenant from smoking or having pets unless he can show that the pets/smoking are unreasonably damaging the property or disturbing neighbours."

YOU GET THAT DOG!!

And, unfortunately for where Delid is, $154g for a small condo in his area is a decent price... Where I am, it would be WAY more than that.... Yay for Downtown TO...

Moving in a month though.. Can't afford it here.

If you ever want to make a homeowner cry ask how much their house is worth then ask them the total cost of the loan if they only put in the standard amount.

^^^ I went 35 and I'm just going to put extra on the principal if I have the spare cash at the end of the year. I only give an extra $900 in interest over the course of 5 years compared to a 25 year.

With everything tallied up I'm going to be paying $1150 for everything. The only thing that can go up in price is the condo fee. The place has been around for 20 years so it's not going to rocket up or anything like new buildings do to get more reserve fund.

Welcome to canada. Where everything is more expensive the closer you are to Toronto. Its like the difference between car prices between CAnada and the US

Is 154k really that shocking? There are areas of the US with house prices much higher than that. I'm sure people in the UK would kill for that too.

and Moscow.

Consider it the price one most pay for living near a desirable area. I mean sure, if my wife and I moved some money around and saved for a few months, we could straight-up buy a house in Oklahoma...but then we'd be living in Oklahoma.
